পলি পড়ে নাব্যতা হারিয়েছে গোসাইরহাটে পাশ দিয়ে বয়ে যাওয়া জয়ন্তী নদী সহ ছোট বড় অনেক নদী নাব্যতা হারিয়ে নৌ চলাচল হুমকির মুখে পড়েছে। ড্রেজিং না করার ফলে নদীতে নৌ চলাচল প্রায় বন্ধ হয়ে পড়ার উপক্রম হয়েছে ।
